In this workshop we will explore the chakra system, its connection to our endocrine (hormone) system, and how our experiences and emotions can affect our chakras, our health, our well-being and our physical body.
What is Chakra?
Chakras are energy centers in our body. The most important chakras (seven in total) go from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The chakra was first mentioned in the ancient Vedas, the Hindu knowledge books and the roots of yoga. The chakras regulate our energy flow.
Chakra symbolism and function
Each chakra has specific symbolism associated with it, including color, symbol, lotus leaves, element and animal that represent its functionality. We will discuss these symbols and what they represent, and focus on the function of each chakra. Each chakra also correlates to areas of daily life and one's general state of health and well-being. Blocked or misaligned chakras may indicate trauma or dysregulation in that region. Every feeling, sensation and experience is connected to a particular Chakra. Emotional experiences, trauma, or stress can cause the chakra (s) to become unbalanced, and this manifests itself as a disease in your physical and emotional body. Likewise, physical damage can have an effect on the functionality of the chakras associated with the physical region of your body. This can result in a pattern of weakness, chronic pain or discomfort after an injury has been physically healed.
Chakra anatomy and hormonal system:
Learn the anatomy of each chakra, how they interact with endocrine glands and functions, and how imbalance in one chakra can affect the others. We will have a special focus on the endocrine system and on the interaction between the thyroid gland, the adrenal glands and the reproductive glands, as well as the resulting pathologies that occur due to. of imbalance. There are 7 endocrine (hormone) that regulate every function in our body. We will discuss the hormones that each gland secretes and what they do in your body. Hormones regulate our growth, sleep, immune system, digestion, metabolism, blood sugar levels, bone density, fertility, nervous system response, emotions and stress response, blood pressure, muscle density and energy levels. When you are out of balance, it affects our body and the other glands in a very noticeable way. The location of endocrine glands matches the location of the chakras, physically or functionally.
We will discuss the imbalances and how they manifest themselves in three different ways:
Physical: Learn where in the body we tend to carry certain experiences, emotions or stressors. There are common emotional holding patterns that cause physical tension, discomfort or chronic pain.
Physiological: Each chakra not only applies to an endocrine gland, but also controls a system of the body. When there are emotional or energetic blocks in a chakra, it can affect the functionality of the system controlled by that chakra.
Psychological: We discuss what e
